Q. What is the effective date?
A. August 27, 2008.
Q. What is the policy expiration date?
A. August 27, 2009. Even if you leave school or graduate, your coverage will remain in
force until that date.
Q. If I missed the original registration or waived coverage initially and now want the
coverage, how do I go about getting it?
A. Please contact the Office of Multicultural Student Services.
Q. How do I know if I am eligible to take the Student Accident & Sickness
Insurance?
A. If you are a full time or part time international student at Bucks County Community College you are
eligible.
Q. Can I get the insurance to cover my spouse and/or children?
A. Yes, please contact the Office of Multicultural Student Services.
Q. What does this insurance cover?
A. This insurance covers medical expenses which arise from an accidental Injury or a
Sickness which occurs while you are covered under this program.
Q. Does this policy pay all medical bills in full?
A. In most circumstances, it will not. There are exclusions and limitations in the policy,
so you will need to refer to the brochure (See sample brochure under
"Brochure").
Q. Can I go to any doctor?
A. Yes you can.
Q. Where do I get a claim form?
A.You can pick up a claim form at the Student Life Office, Charles E. Rollins Center, Room
12 or you can print one out from this web
site.
Q. How do I file a claim?
A. Attach your bills to a completed Claim Form and mail to Bollinger Inc., P.O. Box
727, Short Hills, NJ 07078-0727. Only one claim form is needed per accident or illness.
Subsequent itemized bills may be sent in without completing another claim form. Just
indicate that you are a Bucks County Community College Student and the date of your
accident or illness.
Q. Does this policy cover me for my annual physicals?
A. No, except for Women's Preventive Health Services Benefit.
Q. Is there a deductible on this policy?
A. No.
Q. What if I am out of state when I get sick or injured?
A. This insurance plan will cover you for any illness or Injury which occurs out of state.
You must follow the same procedures in filing a claim as if it had happened here in
Pennsylvania.
Q. How do I get an I.D. card?
A. It is attached to your Student Accident & Sickness Brochure.
Q. What is the policy's maximum benefit?
A. The maximum benefit is $50,000.
Q. What do you pay for doctors visits?
A. For Sickness, the Usual and Customary Charge is allowed not to exceed $350
for any one Sickness. For accidents the policy covers the expense actually
incurred is allowed, not to exceed the Usual & Customary Charge.
